What Are You Waiting For?
How to Strike Out With Godly Motivation and Confidence
Welcome to the What Are You Writing For? And what are you waiting for! Series © in the Confident to Write Alliance ©
Stop waiting! Stop waiting for motivation to strike!
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15, 58, NASB
Let’s take a moment to go through the W, W, W, W, H, & W’s?
- Who are you in Christ as His servant in front of those He has called you to minister to and to serve? Whom are you called to serve?
- What is your motivation or purpose in life and ministry? What is your WHY? What are you called to do and why have you been called by the Lord to do it? What are your core values
- When do you minister? [dates, times]
- Where do you minister? [places]
- How do you minister as you’ve been called? [methods]
- Why do you do what you do? What is your WHY***? Most people know that I help Christian entrepreneurs write and publish. But my WHY is to help them cultivate confidence in the Lord to write and publish in ways that bring Him honor and glory & to help you guide others to do the same!
If you don’t know the answer to these questions, sit with the Lord uninterrupted for a heartfelt block and ask Him to give you direction in each of these areas.
What did you come up with?
If you know the answer to these questions, map out a purposeful plan and dive into step one!
Stop waiting for motivation to strike! The Lord has given you an ordained path to follow. Strike out! And follow His unique path for you.
Here are 3 Steps to Help You Strike Out with Motivation and Confidence in the Lord
Strike out with godly motivation and confidence on the path God has laid before you
- to bring Him glory and honor and
- to serve well those people He has placed before you in this season.
1. Seek Him first: Spend a significant amount of time journaling before the Lord asking Him to help you with the questions listed above or to refine your answers to the questions listed above. Record His answers! I absolutely love journaling and often need to look back on what I heard from the Lord. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33, NASB
2. Ask for a clear & primary goal: Ask the Lord to give you a clear and unique goal for the next quarter. Be specific. First, He answers with Himself! I love that about Him! Then, He answers with specifics. I need that! “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7: 7-8, NASB
What is your primary [#1] goal toward writing “ALL the Things”?
3. Establish your first 3 steps to reach that God-given goal: Under that unique goal, ask the Lord for the first three steps you need to take to reach that goal and dive into the first step! You can be sure He directs your steps. “The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9, NASB
What are your first 3 steps to writing “All the Things”?
